So it's all important...
The other day a friend of mine called to tell me all her troubles. And you know what?
It's all important.
If it's YOUR stuff.
If it's your drain that won't unclog, your cat that ran up the tree, your child who isn't home on time and worries you to death and back.
That's how you know you have a good...no, a GREAT friend. When she'll listen to you like it's her own stuff and it's important.
So I listen.
And listen and listen some more.
Because I've been the Caller. And I've been listenned to. And I know how GOOD it feels to be heard.
I think that is, perhaps, at least part of why we are all "blogging" like we are. Partly because we like reading our own words, but also because it helps us feel connected somehow.
Welcome to my Relevant Ramblings. They may not be relevant to you....but you are reading them and that makes me feel good. I'll comment on your blog, too. Because it really IS all important stuff.
Relatively speaking.

So true. We never know when it will be us who need someone to listen to us. To deserve being listened to, we must first be willing to listen to what others are saying. Even when we know there is nothing we can do to help with their problems, at least we can lend them our ears. Sometimes just having someone listen will help lighten their heavy load. I once read that God gave us only one mouth , but two ears so we would listen twice as much as we talk. I hope I do listen more than I talk. Isn`t that what a good friend is supposed to do?
Good thoughts, I enjoyed reading them.
